Business, Sport and the Performance Arts

Ribeaux Consulting, created by Peter Ribeaux, offers a  range of personal and organisational development services aimed at promoting excellence, health and well-being in the workplace, sport and the performance arts.   These are based on a philosophy of encouraging individuals to  manage themselves and their environment.

There are many ways in which we work with individuals and  organisations.  These range from coaching and self-management skill training for individuals to working with the culture of teams and organisations.

Key benefits are likely to be:

bulletFor the Individual:
bulletMore conscious control over one's working, sporting or performing life
bulletLess stress, fatigue and musculoskeletal pain
bulletFor the Organisation:
bulletLess absenteeism
bulletGreater employee well-being
bulletA workforce trained to prevent stress, fatigue and musculoskeletal pain
bulletA culture of positive health and work values

Workshops and courses for work and sports organisations, business schools and performance artists include training in  interpersonal communication skills and the prevention of stress and musculoskeletal pain (eg, back-, neck- and shoulder pain).  Stress and musculoskeletal pain are considered to be involved in nearly 50% of absence from work.

Our consultancy seeks to develop a culture of individual responsibility for the management of potentially stressful aspects of the work environment, for example, making presentations, using computer workstations and relations with co-workers.  In sport and the performance arts the focus is on improving the use of mind and body for performance as well as prevention and rehabilitation of injury.

We follow a basic principle that each member of an organisation should be able to exercise choice even in the most difficult aspects of their working lives, such as communicating with bosses and dealing with overload.  This serves both the individual in terms of well-being and the organisation in terms of potential cost.
