Who is Ribeaux Consulting?Peter Ribeaux,
MA, C.Psychol, MSTAT is an
occupational psychologist who formerly worked at Middlesex University in London, where his
particular interest was in encouraging individuals in the management of their working
lives. He is co-author (with S.E. Poppleton)
of a textbook, Psychology and Work: an introduction (1979). He now works as a consultant,
trainer and coach in the areas of personal development, stress management and back pain
prevention. Stress-related illness and
musculo-skeletal
pain are the two main causes of sickness absence at work. The methods he uses are geared
to enabling work organisations to become more productive and individuals to control and
enjoy their working lives better. He has
worked in organisations as different as aerospace and nursing. He is also a qualified psychotherapist and teacher of the Alexander Technique (a method of postural re-education and self-management) of over 40 years standing having worked in the USA, Canada, France, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland and Israel.
